Director Vikraman and Vijayakanth, the combination that did the super successful 'Vanathai Pola' in 2000, is back with a bang! This time, it is 'Mariyadhai', which the director assures will be a different film for the ‘captain’ fans.

“We’ve made sure there’s no political influence in the film. It is a clean entertainer and everybody will enjoy it,” says the director.

The film was scheduled to release yesterday, but it is said to be postponed to April 24. The Censor Board had given a clean chit to the film, with a U Certificate.

With director Vikraman insisting that this is the first time that he has ever written a script keeping an actor in mind, 'Mariyadhai' is eagerly awaited by Captain’s fans as the hero really deserves a hit now.
